Rental information: The owner/management rental split works as follows: 20% is deducted from the gross income for commission. This can go to a travel agent, on line booking site or to Grand Caribe management. It can also go to the individual condo owner (see paragraph below). The remaining 80% is split 40% to Grand Caribe Homeowners Association Management, 60% to the individual condo owner. We recommend that owners actively take part in promoting their unit on web sites such as vrbo.com in order to increase occupancy rates/income. Grand Caribe is actively increasing its marketing profile but owner input is much valued and the rewards for individual owners are great. If an owner obtains a booking then the 20% commission goes to the owner if the owner collects the funds and forwards to Grand Caribe. Out of the owner's share the owner will still need to pay utilities, HOA fees, insurance as well as some minor expenses related to guest services such as taxi transportation to and from the San Pedro airstrip for their guests. But, overall, the Grand Caribe system of Management/Owner rental split should mean very worthwhile income for homeowners actively promoting their units.
